Jenni Tischer is a Berlin-based fine artists who asked me to help develop a banner element that would be integrated into her copper wire wall model of Rudolph Schindler's pavillion at Barnsdale Park in Los Angeles. I used the language of step-and-repeat banners and pixel mosaic to echo the grid logic of Tischer's fabric panels. The result is a dialectic between the central vertical elements. The work was exhibited as part of the MAK center residency show in March of 2019.
